A 2 page pdf download of my sensory jars graphic.

I've been thinking more about accommodations and dynamic disability, with fluctuating sensitivity to sensory inputs.

When I am extra tired, stressed or having a high pain day, things that I would be able to tolerate on days when I have more capacity will send me into overload. It can be really tricky to navigate, takes a lot of planning and being prepared.

I've used the analogy of jars to illustrate this point. On some days your jar is very small and fills up quickly. On other days it is larger and you can tolerate the same things without filling up your jar. This will look different for everyone and so will the supports to reduce the impact of what's filling the jar or strategies to reduce the impact of factors that make the jar smaller in the first place.

I have also created a worksheet to accompany this graphic in a separate listing.
